What NOWWORX handles

Less time on the admin.
More time earning.

Enquiries, quotes, invoices, payments and reviews — four things you never have to think about again.

Enquiries

Respond quickly to every new enquiry.

Calls, texts and website enquiries come into NOWWORX. Customers get a prompt response, the details you need are gathered and you’re kept updated in the app.

Quotes

Send quotes. Keep track of what happens next.

Create and send branded quotes from the app. Customers can accept, decline or ask a question, and NOWWORX can follow up when a quote goes quiet.

Invoices & payments

Send invoices and keep track of payments.

See what’s been sent, paid or is still outstanding in one place. Customers can pay through Stripe — into your own account, with no cut taken by NOWWORX — and NOWWORX follows up overdue invoices for you.

Reviews

Turn completed jobs into more reviews.

Once a job is complete, NOWWORX can ask the customer for a Google review, helping you build a stronger online reputation without having to remember to ask. One message, no nagging, and never to someone who has already left you one.

Your customers

Every customer you’ve had,
in one list.

Everyone who has ever got in touch, with their details, what they needed and how far they got — from the first message through to a paid invoice.

The Your Customers screen in NOWWORX. A table of eight customers with their telephone, email and address, the date they got in touch and whether it was a text, a voicemail or the website form, what they needed, and a progress tag reading Contacted, Quoted, Invoiced or Paid. Priya Sharma is tagged Quoted for a full bathroom refit; Tom Baxter is tagged Paid for a weeping radiator valve.

It fills itself in. Every text, voicemail and website enquiry lands here on its own, so the list is there whether or not anyone remembered to write it down. Search it for a name, a postcode or a job. Download it whenever you want, or have it emailed to someone on your team — only you can send it, and only people still on your team can be picked. Your team sees this page only if you switch it on.

You stay in control

NOWWORX works around your business.
You set the rules.

NOWWORX uses the information you provide to respond to customers and keep conversations moving.

You decide what NOWWORX can say

NOWWORX works from the services, business information and answers you provide. If the information isn’t there, NOWWORX won’t make it up.

No promises you haven’t approved

NOWWORX won’t quote prices, promise availability or claim qualifications unless you’ve provided that information and chosen to use it.

Take over at any time

See every conversation in the app and step in whenever you want. As soon as you respond, NOWWORX steps back.

NOWWORX knows when to hand over

If a conversation needs your input or can’t be progressed, NOWWORX brings it to your attention rather than guessing. Mention gas or electrics and it adds the emergency line, 0800 111 999.

NOWWORX always answers as your business, never as you. It never claims there’s a person sat there typing — and if a customer asks outright, it confirms the business uses automated messaging and that you’ll follow up personally.

Whatever the day throws at you

Things don’t always go to plan.
NOWWORX keeps your business moving.

Getting started

Everything you need
to get started.

Every NOWWORX plan includes a UK business number and access to the app. Setup guides you through the information NOWWORX needs to work around your business, with support available if you need it.

Your own UK business number

Your NOWWORX number brings calls and texts into the app, alongside enquiries from your website. Calls are answered and typed up, so a caller gets a reply and you get the details in the same thread as everything else. Your existing mobile stays unchanged.

Set up around your business

Add your services, service area, business details and the information you want NOWWORX to use when responding to customers. Picking your trade fills in the common answers, so you’re never starting from a blank page.

Help when you need it

Setup walks you through each step, with support available if you need help along the way or once you’re up and running. We answer by email, normally within one business day.

No new hardware. Use NOWWORX on your phone, tablet or laptop. That’s it.

Being straight with you: your NOWWORX number is a new number. Moving your existing one across isn’t switched on yet, and no UK network forwards texts — that’s the network, not NOWWORX, and it’s the whole reason the number exists. You can forward calls in from your current number using your network’s dial codes. Support is by email; we don’t run a phone line. Book a demo if you’d rather someone walked you through it first.

Why it matters

The small things
that make a difference.

A quick response, a followed-up invoice or one more review might seem small. Across a busy business, they add up.

A quick response matters

Questions

The things people ask
before they sign up.

What exactly is NOWWORX?

A business app for UK trades, with an AI assistant built into it. It gives you your own UK business number, answers the enquiries that come into it while you’re working, and keeps your customers, quotes, invoices, payments and reviews in one place.

Think of it as the office side of the business, running without you having to sit in an office.

Is NOWWORX an app?

Yes. It adds to your phone’s home screen and opens like any other app — no app store, nothing to buy, nothing to install. It works the same on a laptop or a tablet, so you can do quotes and invoices on a proper screen if you’d rather.

Every plan gets the whole app. The only difference between them is how many of you are logged in, plus a website we design and host on Premium.

What happens when a customer calls me?

Calls to your NOWWORX number are answered and typed up. The caller leaves their message, NOWWORX turns it into a written message in the app and texts them back — so they get a reply, and you get the details in the same thread as everything else.

Being straight about what that isn’t: nothing picks up a ringing phone and holds a conversation. Your own mobile carries on ringing exactly as it does now.

Is it really AI?

Yes. It reads what a customer has actually sent and writes a proper reply back — it isn’t a menu of canned messages, and it isn’t someone in an office.

What it isn’t is clever for the sake of it. NOWWORX only answers from what you’ve told it about your business, and anything outside that comes to you.

Where it gets its answers from

Three places, in order. Your business profile — trade, hours, areas you cover, jobs you do and don’t take, certifications. Then any answers you’ve typed in yourself under Settings. Then a set of safety rules you can’t switch off. There is no fourth place. If a question isn’t covered, it hands it to you rather than filling the gap.

Will my customers know they’re talking to a computer?

NOWWORX answers as your business — “Hartley Plumbing here” — never as you in the first person, and it never claims there’s a person sat there typing.

If someone asks outright, it tells them. It confirms the business uses automated messaging and that you’ll follow up personally.

The opt-out line on the first message

The first automated message of every new conversation carries a short line saying messages may be automated, with a way to stop them. That’s a legal requirement for business texting in the UK, not a choice, and it’s set out in full on our SMS & messaging page.

Can I take over a conversation whenever I want?

Whenever you like. The moment you send a message yourself, NOWWORX goes quiet on that job and stays quiet — it won’t chip in again on it.

Every message in the thread is labelled, so you can always see which ones came from you and which came from NOWWORX.

What can NOWWORX say to a customer — and what won’t it?

It answers from your business profile and the answers you’ve written yourself, and nowhere else. It won’t quote a price unless you switch that on, it won’t promise a day or a time, and it won’t claim a qualification you haven’t given it.

It doesn’t guess, either. If it doesn’t have something, it asks you rather than making it up — and if it’s sent three replies and still isn’t getting anywhere, it stops texting and hands the job over with a note on what it couldn’t get out of them: “customer hasn’t shared an address, you may want to call”.

If a message mentions gas or electrics, it adds the National Gas Emergency line — 0800 111 999 — to the reply.

Why do I need a new business number?

So everything a customer sends you lands somewhere the app can see it. Calls, texts and website enquiries all come into your NOWWORX number, which is what lets NOWWORX answer them, keep the whole conversation together and make sure nothing new gets missed.

It’s a real UK number, it comes with every plan at no extra cost, and it’s live the same day. Put it on your van, your website, your Google profile and your socials, and new work starts arriving in one place.

What happens to my existing number?

Nothing. You keep your mobile exactly as it is, and NOWWORX gives you a separate UK business number alongside it. You can forward calls in from your old number using your network’s dial codes, and switch that off again whenever you like.

One thing to know: moving your existing number across isn’t available yet. Calls forward; texts will keep coming straight to you.

Why texts can’t be forwarded

No UK network offers text forwarding — it isn’t a NOWWORX limitation, it’s how the mobile networks work. Calls forward from any UK number using your network’s standard dial codes. Texts forward from none of them. That’s the whole reason NOWWORX issues you a number of its own. There’s more on it in the help centre.

What if a customer texts at midnight?

They get an answer at midnight — they’ve just been in touch, so a reply isn’t an intrusion.

Anything NOWWORX starts on its own is different. A review request, a quote follow-up, a nudge on a lead you haven’t got back to — those only go out between 8am and 9pm. One that falls due at 2am waits until the morning; it’s never quietly dropped. Alerts to you go out at any hour, because that’s your phone and your silent switch.

What happens if someone replies STOP?

Everything stops. STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, OPT OUT and the rest are picked up automatically, and that number gets nothing further from NOWWORX. If they tell you to stop by phone instead, there’s a button on their contact that does the same thing.

Invoices stop too, and that’s the one that catches people out. Once someone has texted STOP, no further text reaches that number from your NOWWORX number, and an invoice isn’t an exception we’re able to make. If they still owe you, that one is a phone call or an email. The invoice stays in the app marked outstanding until it’s paid — it just won’t text them again.

How long does setup take, and will someone help me?

An evening, not a project. Signing up walks you through your trade, your number, the postcodes you cover and how you want customers spoken to — and picking your trade fills in the common answers, so you’re reading them over and editing rather than writing from a blank page. Your number is live before you close the laptop.

If you’d rather have someone walk you through it first, book a live demo — we’ll show you the app on a call and answer whatever you throw at it. And you can email us at any point during setup.

What support is there once I’m up and running?

Email support@nowworx.com and a person who knows the product answers you — one inbox, no phone maze, no ticket queue. We normally come back within one business day.

Being straight with you: support is by email. We don’t run a phone line, and we’d rather say that than have you find out when you need one. The team stays on building the product that handles your phone instead.

How do payments work, and does NOWWORX take a percentage?

Every invoice you send carries a payment link, so a customer can pay by card or bank transfer from their phone. The money goes into your own Stripe account, not ours, and NOWWORX takes no percentage of it — our fee is £0 and 0%.

From us, nothing else either: texts, calls and voicemail typing are all in the monthly price. No per-message billing, no setup fee, no line rental. Any price change is 30 days’ notice by email, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

The one charge that isn’t ours

Because card payments run through your own Stripe account, Stripe’s charge comes out of each payment, and chargebacks settle on your balance and are disputed in your own Stripe dashboard. NOWWORX takes no cut either way.

Does it work with Xero and QuickBooks?

Yes, on every plan — it isn’t held back for the dearer ones. Connect your books once and invoices push across as they’re sent and as they’re paid, so you’re not typing the same thing twice.

It’s a one-way push from NOWWORX into your accounts, and you can leave it switched off, or skip an individual invoice, if you’d rather.

Can I cancel whenever I want?

No minimum term, no exit fee. Cancel yourself from the app and it runs to the end of the month you’ve paid for — plus the 30-day money-back guarantee on your first payment.

Nothing is deleted the moment you go, and you can export your data before your access ends. The full position is in our Terms.
